Confession of a Buddhist Atheist Stephen Batchelor
Publisher: Spiegel & Grau

I picked up this book by Stephen Batchelor for the sole purpose of reading his account of how and why the Buddha was murdered. Confession of a Buddhist Atheist. This approach is presented in Batchelor's Buddhism Without Beliefs and Confession of a Buddhist Atheist. ϻConfession of a Buddhist Atheist by Stephen Batchelor: Book Review. This is a slightly unusual book. I read "Confessions Of A Buddhist Atheist" and found it very interesting, though I could not agree with all of his conclusions. Right now I'm just reading Batchelor's "Confessions of a Buddhist Atheist" but I should probably go back and read his earlier book "Buddhism without Beliefs" as well. But I am very uncomfortable with some of the comments here. Much of this questioning is at odds with the traditional forms that Asian teachers have established it in the West. Recent books such as Stephen Bachelor's, “Confession of a Buddhist Atheist” are generating a lot of discussion. Part confessional, part travel log, but largely a riveting and entertaining analysis of what the Buddha actually said. This is a confession of someone trying to find himself and his way in the larger world.
